Roadrunners Fall To Nebraska-Kearney, 6-2

ARVADA, COLO. -- No. 3-seed Metro State committed four errors and No. 7-seed Nebraska-Kearney went on to upset the Roadrunners, 6-2, in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball tournament, Friday afternoon at Long Lake Ranch Park in Arvada, Colo.

The Lopers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after four innings. Amber Roundtree went 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Sarah Rusch had a home run in three at-bats for the Roadrunners. Alissa Larsen had two hits and two RBI for UNK.

With the win, Nebraska-Kearney improves to 22-26 overall, while Metro State drops to 31-17 overall. The Roadrunners, who defeated CSU-Pueblo earlier in the day, face No. 4-seed Mesa State in an elimination game, Saturday at 11:30 a.m., at the Colorado School of Mines Field.
