March 9, 2008

Final Stats

Metro State scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh but lost to Adams State, 6-5, in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball game Saturday afternoon at Auraria Field.

Two Roadrunners were able to homer in game one of the double header. Jennessa Tesone and Molly Clark both hit their second homeruns of the season.

Game two of the doubleheader was a different story with Metro State winning 12-1, and the game only went five innings when the mercy rule was called. All 12 runs were scored in the bottom of the second when the Grizzlies' starter, Megan Roberts, walked four and allowed nine earned runs.

Second baseman Sarah Rusch went two for two with four RBIs and one run scored. Starting Pitcher, Libby Balogh, recorded her second win allowing six hits and one run.

With the split Metro State is now 9-8 overall, 5-3 in the RMAC. Adams State is 12-3 overall, 1-3 in the RMAC.
