Jeremy Aldrich begins his third season as an assistant coach at Metro State in 2008. During his time at Metro State, the Roadrunners have advanced to two straight NCAA Tournaments and were crowned the RMAC regular-season champions in 2007. Prior to coming to Metro State, Aldrich spent six years playing professional soccer, most recently for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer and the Philadelphia Kixx of Major Indoor Soccer League. He was a member of the Rookie All-Star team while with Philadelphia in 2004. In addition, he also played in the United Soccer League with the Virginia Beach Mariners, Milwaukee Rampage and Indiana Blast from 2001-04. Aldrich was the 19th pick of the 1999 Major League Soccer draft by the Miami Fusion. As a coach, Aldrich spent the 2002 season with the Sussex Soccer Club in Milwaukee, Wisc., as the Director of Soccer, and also served as an assistant coach for Butler University in 2001. As a player, Aldrich was a four-year letterwinner at Butler University, including an NSCAA/adidas all-American as a 1998 senior. A team captain, Aldrich also earned Midwestern Collegiate Conference Player of the Year accolades and was Butler's team Most Valuable Player following his senior season. While at Butler, he was a four-time all-Midwestern Collegiate Conference selection. During his collegiate career, Aldrich spent the 1996-97 season on the United States Under-20 national team. He is currently finishing up a bachelor's degree in secondary education with a mathematics emphasis at Metro State. A native of Mattawan, Mich., Aldrich and his wife, Kelly, reside in Denver. |
